National Stud Tour

2025 SEASON STARTS ON 1ST MARCH

Enjoy a guided tour of the National Stud for £16.50 per adult or £5 per child (under 16s). Tours run every Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays at 10.30 am from 1st March to the end of September.

To view tour dates, first select the number of tickets you would like to book.

When you have chosen and booked your tour, your tickets will be emailed to the email address you provide at checkout. Please contact the office if you dont recceive contact details of your tour guide which is usually a few days before your tour date.

Want to upgrade this experience to your very own private tour ? This is an additional one-off payment of £50, plus the standard ticket price based on a minimum of two adults. All private tours are booked with us directly, please contact us on admin@discovernewmarket.co.uk. We are unable to upgrade your booking once you have booked onto a public tour.

Please be aware that there is no longer a cafe onsite at the National Stud although toilets are available on arrival.

All meeting points are signposted from the car park. Please do not drive beyond the car parking signs.

Overview

Tours of the National Stud last approximately 90 minutes and are taken by coach and on foot. This 500-acre stud farm has a wonderful history and is home to resident stallions, including Stradivarius and Bradsell as well as ex-racehorse legends such as Lord Windermere and The Tin Man. Meet the visiting mares and their foals and find out what goes on behind the scenes in making potential future champions of the turf. Please note that as a working stud the physical content of the tours varies throughout the year, depending on the season, the weather conditions and the activities happening on the stud when you visit.

Itinerary

Public tours of the National Stud run from 1st March to the end of September, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays, starting at 10:30 am and lasting approximately 90 minutes. The tours are conducted both by mini bus and on foot. Meet your tour guide 15 minutes before your scheduled tour departure time. There is ample free parking on site.. Please note we cannot guarantee which horses will be available to view on the day of your visit as this is a working stud farm.
