The Race Day Tour is the ultimate day out for anyone planning on enjoying a day at the races! Gather your friends, get dressed up and enjoy a wonderful experience either of Newmarket’s two racecourses, the Rowley Mile or the July Course.

The Race Day Tour includes Premier Enclosure admission and before the start of the day’s action you will be taken on an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience of some of the areas that are usually off limits to the public. You will get to visit the Weighing Room, Royal Box and the Commentator’s Box for a bird’s eye view of the racecourse. You will also get to experience the buzz inside the Parade Ring, rubbing shoulders with owners, trainers and jockeys as they prepare for a race!

We also offer Race-day Tours with hospitality, these cannot be booked online so call one of the team on 01638 501122 or e-mail admin@discovernewmarket.co.uk to find out more!

Timings for the Race Day Tour vary slightly based on the start of the day’s racing. All timings and meeting points are communicated in your itinerary 10 days before your tour date.

12.45pm – Meet your Tour Guide at the Premier Enclosure entrance for your Behind The Scenes Tour ahead of the day’s racing. Visit the Weighing Room, Royal Box and Commentator’s Box and head to the Parade Ring before the start of the first race of the day. Enjoy the day’s racing at your leisure.

Parade Ring dress code:
Ladies and Gentlemen are encouraged to dress up smartly in the Premier Enclosure and Parade Ring. Most gentlemen would choose to wear smart trousers, shirt and formal shoes to complete the look. Whilst there is no formal restriction on wearing jeans, these are rarely seen in the Premier Enclosure. If you would like to access the parade ring, we do suggest that the premier enclosure dress code is adhered to.

Please be advised that tours depart promptly at the scheduled start time so we recommend arriving at the meeting point a minimum of 15 minutes in advance.
