Shadwell Tour

08.30: Meet your Discover Newmarket guide at the Bedford Lodge Hotel where you can park free of charge for the day. Our mini-bus will then take you to the famed Newmarket Gallops where you will see some of the 3,000 racehorses going about their morning exercise.

09.30: Morning coffee will be served at the Heath Court Hotel where you will have the opportunity to look at Poets Word’s memorabilia display.

10.15: You will then visit the National Horseracing Museum for a guided tour where you will hear the fascinating history of the town and how Royalty has played such a huge part in racing throughout the centuries.

12 noon: Enjoy a delicious two-course lunch with a glass of prosecco at the Bedford Lodge Hotel.

1.15: Depart for Shadwell.

2.00: An exclusive behind the scenes tour of Shadwell, a world renowned breeding operation, starting with an opportunity to see the brilliant first season sire Baaeed, as well as stallions Mohaather and Tasleet in a parade at the Nunnery Stud. Then onto Snarehill stud for a tour around world class equipment and facilities and the home of Bataash. An experience that will live long in the memory.

4.15: Tour ends, return to Bedford Lodge Hotel.
