Shadwell Tour

08.45: Meet your Discover Newmarket guide at the Rowley Mile Racecourse, Premier Entrance where you can park free of charge for the day.

09.00: Our mini-bus will then take you to the famed Newmarket Gallops where you will see some of the 3,000 racehorses exercising on the 2,500 acres of Jockey Club land.

09.45: Next you will experience a behind the scenes tour of a racing yard the trainer or their representative will show you around, introduce you to the horses, outline the yard routines, feeding regimes, and answer any questions you might have.

10.45: Morning coffee will be served at the Heath Court Hotel where you will have the opportunity to look at some fantastic memorabilia including trophies from iconic meetings like Champions Day at Ascot.

11:15: Enjoy a guided tour of Palace House, home of the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing & Sporting Art to learn more about the history of The Sport of Kings and its close ties with Newmarket.

12.30: Enjoy a delicious three-course lunch at The Packhorse Inn, Moulton.

14.30: An exclusive behind the scenes tour of Shadwell’s world renowned Nunnery Stud and enjoy a parade of their top-class stallions. An experience that will live long in the memory.

16:30: Tour ends, return to Rowley Mile Racecourse.
