Tattersalls Tour

8.00 Park at the Tattersalls Car Park (which is free) and meet your Discover Newmarket tour guide outside The High Flyer Cafe, one the eating venues at Tattersalls. Hop on board our tours mini bus ready to experience a guided tour of Newmarket’s world famous training grounds where you will see some of the town’s 3,000 equine residents being ridden out on Warren Hill.

9.30 Time for a hearty breakfast at The Tack Room located at the National Horseracing Museum.

10.15 Enjoy a guided tour of the National Horseracing Museum which is situated in Charles II’s sporting palace and stables and spans five acres in the heart of Newmarket.

11.45 Time to head up to Tattersalls for a behind-the-scenes tour and learn what bloodstock agents and buyers are looking for when picking a horse to bid on. Your guide will take you on a behind the scenes tour of the stables, you will see horses pulled out for inspection before you head up to the parade ring, where your guide will tallk you through what buyers are looking for. For the last part of your tour you will sit in the famous Tattersalls ring and witness the adrenaline and excitement as horses are paraded and bid on for thousands of Guineas.

The tour finishes at 2 pm but you are welcome to remain at Tattersalls to continue watching the sale.
