You don’t have to be a fan of racing to enjoy this glimpse into the Sport of Kings. Discover why Newmarket is regarded as the Home of Horseracing with this two-hour guided tour of the hallowed gallops. Spanning 2,500 acres, they comprise 50 miles of turf gallops, 14 miles of artificial tracks, and are used by over 3,000 horses and 80 trainers every day. As well as some impressive views you will learn about the significance of the vast expanse of Jockey Club land and about the role the various training gallops play in getting a horse fit for the races. Your tour allows you to go onto the hallowed training grounds and see first-hand some of racing’s very best thoroughbreds go about their daily exercise.
